2024-25 Topps Museum Collection UEFA is finally here in the middle of a jam-packed Topps soccer card release schedule. Museum usually struggles in after market pricing yet is wildly popular for people wanting to open it. I am very surprised Topps didn’t get this out before Dynasty and Definitive since it’s a sticker Auto product and those are much more premium. I guess this gives collectors that couldn’t get involved in those higher end sets some to open. See what you can expect in the review below.

SoccerCardsHQ Review – 2024-25 Topps Museum Collection UEFA hobby makeup is the same as it always is so if you have opened it before you know what to expect. It’s very much an auto and patch Auto product. The base cards don’t get much love. Mostly due to design and the non-differential in parallels. Topps added a few new things to chase this year which I detail below.

Gold Frame autos are once again case hits. The Legendary Ink on-card Gold Frame autos (Search On Ebay) are also back and you can expect 1 in ~5 cases. I am not the biggest fan of the design of these this year, but others may disagree. The Legendary Ink checklist is mostly legends. It also players that we have seen prominently in Dynasty and Definitive so it will be interesting to see how these do in the singles market. When we didn’t get as many on-card autos they were much more desirable. There is a Lionel Messi Legendary Ink so that will be a huge chase card. We don’t have the debacle of unframed “frame” autos this year so no free autos for anyone. If you are unsure what I am talking about read the 2023-24 Topps Museum review. The Hat Trick box exclusives this year are Triple Autos and Marbleized Autos Marks Of Excellence on-card autos are also in Museum again. With it being mostly legends there are nice names in here but nothing the hobby considers a huge chase.

There are some 1/1 relic cards that are sure to be big chases. Legacy Laces (Search On Ebay) is back again. There are some big hobby names in the Laces checklist including Messi. You can expect to hit Laces 1 in ~100 cases. The Respect Foundation Book cards are new (Search On Ebay). Assuming they’re match worn they should be nice cards. There is a Lamine Yamal Respect Foundation card. I would think these should be from the 2023-34 season or earlier so his would likely be from his rookie season. I’m not sure that will matter much. There is also an Erling Haaland Salzburg one which could be from his rookie season as well. I am not sure any of this will matter because there will need to be an explanation unless Topps says when the patches are from. There are also non Auto versions of these cards. You can expect to hit the Respect Foundation Auto 1 in ~85 cases and the patch only 1 in ~250 cases. The Supreme Script multi player books are also back.

There are 2 Lionel Messi The Grail (Search On Ebay) cards in Museum. They will fall 1 in ~36.5 cases and both are in Barcelona kit so they should be popular. Going off on a tangent here but I thought about it as 2024-25 Topps Museum UEFA was getting ripped last week despite being released this week. The last Messi The Grail card is coming in 2025 Topps Chrome MLS. If that product gets into people’s hands early like Museum did it will be a huge advantage to the people that open before release date while Topps chosen breaks have to wait. They really should do it in a way where everyone who completes The Grail by a certain date is entered into a random. Then show that draw live.

One new addition this year is Gold Packs. These packs will have 7 autos to /7 and 1 1/1 in every pack. There are 5 different editions of these packs that are all themed. There is one for Barcelona, Brazil, 90’s legends, UCL Champions and USMNT. Pains me to say but the USMNT is by far not the one you want of those. You can expect those 1 in ~90 cases.

If you have read my previous Museum reviews, I have stated that it feels like a set that should get more hobby love but doesn’t. It’s like it doesn’t get credit for having a decent number of match worn patches even though the cards clearly state it. Topps did a better job of adding a few new wrinkles this year to make it more “chaseable”. That said with all the new high end that has come out since the last release of Museum I am less high on it than before. That is not just Museum specific. It is more about sticker autos and how much less desirable they before with every new on-card product. the box prices will probably hold pretty steady until some of the big 1/1s come off the board. If none of the rookies pop off then they will likely head down closer to where the 2022 prices are but they will take time and may not happen if the 1/1s don’t come out.
