2025-26 Panini Prizm FIFA Soccer is here for the first time ever. I just want to start off by saying this while I am all for Panini expanding the Prizm brand for soccer this is being released at a weird time and like a like of their club focused soccer card sets it’s a weird amalgamation of teams. I have never understood card licensing and this another example. Panini lost the Premier League license yet there are Liverpool cards in here. I guess they have a team license, but why not get more teams. I also don’t understand why they released this 1 month before World Cup Prizm. I would have rather they waited until next year to start this new set. The rumors are true and they are trying to sell the company later this year so maybe they want to get as much revenue as possible on the books for a potential sale. With all that said it is still Prizm and Prizm is popular so people want it. Let’s see what you can expect from the product.

Soccer Cards HQ Review – The first thing I noticed about 2025-26 Panini Prizm FIFA as I mentioned above was the random teams in the checklist. I do like that Panini included lot of teams from around the world. That’s a good way to grow the hobby in places that don’t traditionally get high end cards. The problem is with a 300 card checklist and lots of not so desirable hobby players and teams it hurts the value if opening boxes. With the lack of certain licenses there are a lot of players that normally help carry product value missing.
The case hits will be providing a lot of the value in 2025-26 Panini Prizm FIFA. The Manga (Search On Ebay) resale prices have been going crazy. I will be interested to see if that sustains since there are ~185 of each so not exactly SSP. That said there are less of them than Kabooms. Groovy (Search On Ebay) are also a case hit and should have the same print run as Manga. Also always with Panini products. If you are buying loose hobby boxes there is probably a decent chance the 1 per case hits have already been pulled. The Color Blasts (Search On Ebay) are multi case hit SSP. While I can’t say for sure how many if they come out 1 in 10 cases there will be ~20 of each. 1 in 5 cases would be ~40. Sadly, we will never know for sure. Same goes for Prizmania (Search On Ebay). All 4 of those case hit checklists are loaded and have Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Lamine Yamal and Diego Maradona. Sublime (Search On Ebay) will only show up in Retail and Blaster boxes. They are usually tough to hit. It what may only be interesting to me are the “2015 Flashback” inserts. Technically they were used in 2016 Prizm Euro so they should have been 2016 Flashback. To be fair they were 2015 in other Panini sports.

There are a couple of interesting rookies in the set. Some like Rio Ngumoha (Search On Ebay) and Christos Moustakas already have a bunch of Topps RCs. Robinio Vaz (Search On Ebay) is an interesting one as these are his first non Futera cards. He’s a young forward with lots of potential. The only problem is he already made a big move in January, and it was to Roma so not sure there will be much hobby hype around him there. With there being a lot of teams in here that don’t usually get cards you will see RCs on older players who just haven’t had cards yet.

Panini released 2025-26 Panini Prizm FIFA hobby boxes on their site for $550 and they are still sitting there. The product outside of the current Manga resale prices don’t warrant that. To come anywhere close to making your money back on a single box without hitting a Manga would be tougher than most products today. From that standpoint it’s almost a case or nothing deal. I guess if Manga prices stay high then you can sort of justify $6000 a case, but I would pay close attention to Manga prices as more and more hit the market. The prices I am seeing for retail and blaster boxes currently is even worse since you can’t even hit Mangas and you aren’t guaranteed an auto. The price Panini put on this has me worried for the upcoming World Cup Prizm release. If it were me unless these prices come down a bit, I would just take my chances waiting for World Cup. If you are getting involved here good luck and I hope you hit what you are chasing.
