2025-26 Topps Chrome UEFA Club Competitions is out just as the Club Competitions semifinals are wrapping up. There was some hope that after 2025-26 Topps UEFA Flagship came out so early in the release schedule that we would get Chrome early. That proved to be wishful thinking. Topps Chrome UEFA is one of the most anticipated soccer card sets of every year. This year a little less so with it being a World Cup year, but it is still very important. I know there will be one person out there who is very happy this with this release. That is BreakingTheLaw aka The Retail King because holy $H1T did Topps really turn on the retail printing presses. It’s so high Topps gave Panini a run for their money on Prizm World Cup Monopoly which I didn’t think was possible, but I should have never underestimated the Topps printing presses. Topps made sure there will be enough for every soccer collector to have as much as they want across the 11 different SKUs. Find out just how much and what you can expect in the review below.

Soccer Cards HQ Review – 2025-26 Topps Chrome UEFA Club Competitions has a little something for everyone this year including robots, Metaverse and even Linkin Park cards. There are also 60 different base card refractors. 61 if you include the Club and Country 1/1s (Search On Ebay) which I really like. for the colors that people actually desire like Gold and Red there are 5 different ones of each. There are 50 different rookies in the set which is actually down a little from past years. Most of the chase rookies already have Chrome rookie cards either in Premier League Chrome or Bundesliga Chrome. Some even have Panini rookie cards from previous years. If you collect at all you probably have seen their cards going around so you should have an idea of if you hit well. I will try and get my Rookie Breakdown for each player done eventually, but with all these guys already having cards it felt less urgent this year. With it being this late in the season a lot of their prices have come down as the players either didn’t get to play a lot or got hurt. That could provide opportunities for the future if you believe in them. The Bowman 1st Youth League cards are just as interesting to me. Ebrima Tunkara (Search On Ebay) and Mathis Albert (Search On Ebay) should get some love there. Lennart Karl has shown those cards can be quite valuable if a player comes good.
The auto checklist is big as we have become accustomed to with 395 different autos total. Most of the big rookies have autos. There are Bowman 1st Youth League autos this year which is cool. Lionel Messi has 10 different autos including another Marks Of Excellence (Search On Ebay) and what will surely be the first of many dual autos with Lamine Yamal (Search On Ebay). Cristiano Ronaldo is not only missing from the auto checklist but from the entire set. Speaking of Marks Of Excellence Mohamed Salah gets his first of what will probably be many. Salah went from having no autos to as many on-cards as most in the hobby in record time. I wonder if his play fell off this year because he was spending endless nights signing for Topps. Global Attraction is back as an auto but this year with “Summer of 2026” added because of course they couldn’t say World Cup. Dual, Triple and Quad autos come back. These are all team specific as Topps once again laps Panini with their combo auto pairings. New for this year are Piece Of Club History Autographed Booklets (Search On Ebay) which have 6 players per card. Topps also continued their new angle of putting celebrity autographs in sets with Linkin Park. Look I like Linkin Park and used to do physical therapy with Chester (RIP), but they aren’t going to move the needle like Samuel L. Jackson and Anne Hathaway.

The inserts are where 2025-26 Topps Chrome UEFA Club Competitions gets really interesting. There are some that seem to be absolutely hated like Metaverse and especially Bionic. Even Facebook gave up on the Metaverse after changing their name, but Topps thought now was the time to finally release it. We get Anime cards for the first time in Topps UEFA which was to be expected after they showed up in EPL and Bundesliga. A new insert this year is the Champion Gold Refractors which are 50 Golds and a Superfractor of the key PSG players from last year. Those should be highly collectible for PSG fans. Veni, Vidi, Vici is a new insert which of course means “I Came, I Saw, I Conquered” yet only 2 of the 5 players on the checklist have ever won a Champions League Trophy. What Topps really came, saw and conquered was another way to get Lamine Yamal into the checklist with this set.

Some of the inserts you will recognize from past years. The 3 different competition Trophy Superfractors are back. UCL can be hit in hobby, Europa in Jumbo and Conference in Breaker’s Delight. Topps brings back the “At Night” cards with Budapest At Night. These are usually liked and are short print again at ~50 of each. Helix is back with a print run of ~100. I still think with Topps making Helix a chase across all sports that they may be underappreciated in soccer right now. A few of the big rookies get Helix as well which is a card I would think would do well if the player does well. In something Topps has never done before a Grail card has less than the rest. As long as the odds sheet is right there are only ~35 of Grail #1 (Search On Ebay) while Grail #3 has ~75. The first Zlatan Grail had ~75 so I am not sure if #1 will be included in another set or if it will just be more SP than the rest. For the rest of the “case hit” insert print runs check out the bottom of the review.

My biggest takeaway from doing this review is just how much 2025-26 Topps Chrome UEFA Club Competitions was printed. If you just add up the amount of packs from “normal” SKUs there are ~5.5 million packs. That doesn’t include all the other variations like Breaker’s Delight, Frist Day Issue, Logofractor, Sapphire and Hungbao. Topps is releasing hobby boxes at $250 which I am sure they will have no problem selling. Considering what Topps Premier League boxes go for I would say these look like a deal considering you can hit a lot of the best EPL players plus the other best players in the world. I can’t believe how high the First Day Issue boxes have shot up especially since the First Day parallel design does not seem to be one people like. I would much rather have 7 hobby boxes than 1 First Day Issue box. If hobby box prices shoot up a lot just remember that World Cup sets will be coming fast very soon. If you are getting involved good luck and I hope you hit what you are chasing.
