Topps has expanded the Finest brand with the 1st ever release of 2026 Topps Finest Premier League. Topps keeps the flood of of EPL soccer card sets coming while we wait patiently for the big Champions League sets.

2026 Topps Finest Premier League Breakdown
Checklist – HERE
Box Makeup – Hobby (Search On Ebay) – 10 packs, 6 cards, 2 autos, ~4-5 # parallels
Print Run – ~38000 hobby boxes ~4775 cases
Soccer Cards HQ Review – 2026 Topps Finest Premier League uses the Common, Uncommon, Rare format that I do not believe the market likes. Finest with a standard checklist had trouble in the singles secondary market and with this format the good players get 3 different base cards. Then there is the issue where the colored parallels are numbered differently which causes confusion. The good news I guess if you have really been wanting a Max Dowman Rookie (Search On Ebay) is he is all over the checklist including having 3 base cards. Most of the rookies are the same from past EPL sets. They still haven’t managed to get Rayan or Mattheus Mane into a premium set. If you’re a fan of those players, I guess that is a good thing for your wallet and possible for long term scarcity if they become big chases. One of the big chases would’ve been the 3rd year Estevao RC but with his bad injury that hurts the set a bit.
Topps decided to put a lot of “SP Inserts” in 2026 Topps Finest Premier League which I think is cool. Swerve Fusions seems to be the answer to Prized Footballers Fusions that we usually see in Finest sets. Finest Idols has become a staple I like because they are full bleed cards. They are also usually pretty SP although Topps has been all over the place as to how SP from set to set. The rest of the SP Inserts only have a Superfractor 1/1 parallel which I also like. Gusto falls 1 in ~2 cases. Not having Malo Gusto on the Gusto checklist seems like an obvious miss but I digress. Main Attraction falls 1 in ~7.5 cases. Nightmare Fuel falls 1 in ~11.5 cases. Polka, Headliners and Aura fall 1 in ~9 cases. I have included the print runs for each set at the end of the review.
There is only 1 on-card autos in 2026 Topps Finest Premier League. That wouldn’t have been a surprise as recently as two years ago when there were none, but these days they have found a way to get some in to make for big chases. For Finest the on-card auto comes in Finest Fans and it’s Lebron James (Search On Ebay). The checklist is celebrity fans of certain EPL clubs. Other big celebs in the checklist include Samuel Jackson (Search On Ebay), Anne Hathaway (Search On Ebay), a couple of the Spice Girls and Charlize Theron who is not associated with a team because that’s how Charlize rolls. These will fall 1 in ~10 cases. These are sure to be fun chases although I am very interested to see where the singles prices land. Everyone in the checklist has a Super and a Red. One doesn’t have a Blak and 3 don’t have Orange or Gold. It will be fun to see who they are as well. Max Dowman is in 2 auto checklists. I have already seen a base auto Purple /125 so needless to say his autos are no longer hard to come by.
Topps released 2026 Topps Finest Premier League at $300/box. That is roughly in the range of what every UCL Finest box since 2020 except for 2023 goes for. I would say that seems a bit high for me, but at the same time none of the 2026 Topps Premier League box prices have made sense to me and the lowest box for sale currently on eBay is $440. I wonder if this is the set where the Premier League fatigue sets in especially with Merlin Premier League presale on tap for next week. I guess only time will tell, but I will give Fanatics all the credit in the world if they have grown the UK hobby enough to make this set shoot to the moon.
